LIGHTING
L1 LIGHTING LEAD
L1 Lighting Lead Technicians play a vital role within the event production team, taking charge of all aspects of lighting design and implementation for live events, conferences, and productions. Trained in professional etiquette and on-site procedures, they lead a team of lighting technicians, collaborate closely with event organizers, and strive to deliver the highest quality lighting experience for each event. During shows they are responsible for collaborating with Show Runners and/or department heads for executing lighting cues.
L2 LIGHTING ASSIST
The L2 Lighting Assist is instrumental in providing support for the lighting requirements of live events, productions, and audiovisual projects. Trained in professional etiquette and on-site procedures, this role entails assisting the Lighting Technician in the setup and operation of lighting equipment, ensuring optimal illumination, and enhancing the overall visual appeal of productions.
LD LIGHTING DESIGNER
The Lighting Designer (LD) is a L1 level position that holds the responsibility of conceptualizing, planning, and bringing to life innovative lighting designs that elevate the visual experience at live events, performances, conferences, and productions. Their duties include crafting artistic lighting atmospheres and overseeing the technical aspects of lighting systems.
ME MASTER ELECTRICIAN
A Master Electrician oversees the electrical components of audiovisual setups, lighting systems, and electrical equipment during live events, performances, conferences, and productions. Their responsibilities include planning, managing, and connecting/disconnecting electrical circuits, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems. Interaction with event department heads is crucial for this role.
SPOTLIGHT OPERATOR
As an L2 Level technician, Spotlight Technicians are responsible for operating spotlights during events. They possess a strong understanding of various spotlight models and be skilled in both freehand operation and using aim assist tools. Working under the direction of the L1, they often operate at elevated heights and must adhere to professional communication etiquette to follow cues effectively.
